Mountings
Mountings meeting the IVZ standard
DAMBACH has the right mountings for every sign, whether it’s for the stationary mounting of traffic signals or the temporary mounting of roadworks signs.
All products meet the requirements of the IVZ 2001 standard.
Clearance above the road surface for standard mounting is 2,250 mm over cycle lanes, 1,000 mm for low-level mounting and 600 mm on roundabouts and for lane-separators.
In addition to mountings meeting the IVZ standard, DAMBACH has a large range of temporary mountings.
Tubular lattice towers
Traffic signs and signposts are mainly positioned next to the carriageway. The holders must be stable and strong because or the great wind forces, but they must be passively secure, i.e. deformable or capable of being sheared off, at the same time. They should not represent any danger to the driver in the case of an impact. DAMBACH has developed a system of lattice towers will that take signs with a height from 1,000 mm to 6,750 mm and a width from 1,750 mm to 7,000 mm with static safety.
The DAMBACH tubular lattice towers also make it unnecessary to set up of protective planks, because they are constructed in a passively safe way.
Round masts / Rectangular masts
Large signs of the Alform II and II construction types can be attached on round masts by means of installation profile and a tube shackle in the case of low eccentricity, or by means of a sliding socket and a cantilever tube in the case of higher eccentricity.
The attachment to the mast takes place with hot-dip galvanized tube shackles; the sign is screwed onto the braces on the back by means of clip blocks.
Dambach has statically safeguarded systems for both types of attachment.
